From Estiah Wiki
Events are dungeon encounters at exploration sites. They must first be discovered through the use of Gathering, then attempted for 12 Action points. A successful attempt yields unique rewards required by discovered crafting shops as well as Treasure Hunter skillup. The event opponents are often similar to mobs elsewhere in Estiah. Sometimes old enemies become allies for the fight, while other times former allies may become enemies.
Special Events
Some events require special triggers in order to be discovered through gathering. These triggers may include having particular objects in your inventory or having completed other dungeons or events. If you meet the requirements for discovering one of these special events, it will be found on the first attempt when gathering in the appropriate city. If you attempt to gather and do not discover the location, this means you have not met the prerequisites for finding the event.
Event Levels
Events have five "levels" with correspondingly leveled mobs/allies:
* One mark - approximate difficulty up to Level 10 dungeon (

* Two mark - approximate difficulty up to level 20 dungeon ()
* Three mark - approximate difficulty up to level 30 dungeon ()
* Four mark - approximate difficulty up to level 40 dungeon ()
* Five mark - approximate difficulty up to level 50 dungeon ()
